1. How to delete your account

In the app (Android or iPhone):

  1. Open Penelope and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then tap Account & billing.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

On the web (works for Google and Apple accounts):

  1. Go to app.penelopeacting.com/account.
  2. Sign in with Google or Apple, whichever you use in the app.
  3. Under Delete account, tap Delete account and confirm.

Can’t sign in? Email info@penelopeacting.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my Penelope account”. We’ll confirm it’s you and delete it within 30 days.

If you subscribed on the web, deleting your account cancels that subscription for you. A subscription bought in the Android or iPhone app isn’t cancelled automatically: cancel it in Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings.

2. What we delete

Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone. We delete your account and everything linked to it on our servers, including your sign-in details and email address, your profile and Connect profile, saved scripts, scenes you share and the links to them, posts and comments, invitations and requests, your sharing keys and your usage history. Deleting in the app also erases the Penelope scenes, recordings and self-tapes stored on that device, so save any takes you want to keep first. Deleting on the web erases the scenes saved in that browser; anything saved on a phone stays on that phone until you uninstall Penelope there.

3. What we keep, and for how long

  • De-identified usage records, up to 2 years. A scrambled (hashed) record of how much free allowance and AI-voice credit an account used, and which purchases it owned, so the same free trial and allowances can’t be claimed again by a new account. It contains no name, email, scripts or recordings.
  • AI voice history, up to 7 days. Lines recently spoken by our voice provider are deleted automatically within 7 days.
  • Analytics and crash reports. These are tied only to a scrambled account ID, not your name or email, and expire on our analytics and crash-reporting providers’ standard schedules.
  • Purchase records. Google Play, Apple and our payment processor keep their own records of payments, as the law requires.
  • Things other people control. Scenes another actor shared with you stay with them, and copies someone already saved, like a take your scene partner kept, stay with that person.
  • Backups, for a short time until they’re overwritten.
